Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Techno Clean collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
Last updated: 26 June 2026
Techno Clean (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data openly and in line with the law. This policy applies to our website and to the cleaning services we provide to homes and businesses across London.

2. The personal data we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and enquiry details when you complete our quote form, call, email or message us: your name, phone number, email address, postcode or address, and anything you tell us about the property and the work you need.
- Booking and service information needed to carry out the work, such as access arrangements, preferred dates and job details.
- Any feedback, reviews or correspondence you send us.
Information we collect automatically
- Technical and usage data when you visit our website, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring website and how you interact with the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies, including advertising and analytics tags (see section 5). These are only used for non-essential purposes where you have given consent.
Information from third parties
- Advertising and analytics platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google may provide us with aggregated or pseudonymised data about how our ads and website perform.
- Referrals or reviews where you have agreed to be passed on or quoted.
Do you have to provide it?
Providing your contact and property details is necessary for us to respond to your enquiry, give you a quote and carry out the work. If you choose not to provide them, we may not be able to help you. We do not ask for special category data (such as health, ethnicity or religious beliefs), so please do not include it in your messages to us.
3. How and why we use your data, and our lawful bases
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis to process your personal data. We rely on the following:
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes — on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interests in running our business.
- To deliver our cleaning services — to perform our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in managing bookings, staff and access.
- To take payment and keep business records — to perform our contract and to comply with our legal obligations (for example tax and accounting).
- To improve and secure our website — our legitimate interests in keeping the site working, safe and relevant.
- For analytics, advertising and remarketing using cookies and similar technologies — on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To send marketing where you have asked us to or, for existing customers, where the law allows on a soft opt-in basis — always with a simple way to opt out.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed those interests against your rights and will provide more detail on request.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and tags) to make the site work, understand how it is used and measure our advertising. We group them as follows:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function. These do not need consent.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (for example Google Analytics).
- Advertising — used to measure and target our ads, including the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags (see section 5).
Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are only set where you give consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings on the site, and you can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
5. Advertising and analytics (Meta and Google)
We advertise our services on Facebook, Instagram and Google, and we measure how those ads perform. To do this we use tools provided by Meta Platforms and Google that may collect information about your visit and actions on our site, where you have consented:
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API— helps us measure the results of our Facebook and Instagram ads, show relevant ads, and build audiences (including custom and lookalike audiences). Where the Conversions API is used, information such as a hashed (encrypted) version of your email or phone number may be shared with Meta to match activity. For this event data, we and Meta act as joint controllers under Meta’s Controller Addendum: we are responsible for collecting it lawfully with your consent, and Meta is responsible for how it uses the data once received. See Meta’s privacy policy for details of their processing.
- Google Ads and Google Analytics — help us measure website traffic and ad performance, and show remarketing ads to people who have visited our site.
You can control this advertising and find out more here:
- Meta privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy and ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
- Google privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Ads settings: adssettings.google.com.
- Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (data processors), such as website hosting, analytics and advertising platforms (Meta, Google), email/CRM and communication tools, and any booking or payment provider we use.
- Members of our team or trusted subcontractors who carry out the cleaning, only with the information they need to do the job.
- Professional advisers such as accountants or legal advisers where needed.
- Authorities or other parties where we are required to by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
Where third parties act as our processors, we put contracts in place requiring them to protect your data and use it only as instructed.
7. International data transfers
Some of our providers, including Meta and Google, are based outside the UK or process data in countries such as the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by an appropriate safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or a recognised certification framework. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards we rely on by contacting us using the details in section 1.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy, then delete or anonymise it. In general:
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: typically up to 12 months.
- Customer and job records: for the duration of our relationship and for as long as needed afterwards to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (usually up to 6 years).
- Marketing data: until you opt out or withdraw consent, after which we suppress your details so we do not contact you again.
9. How we keep your data safe
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we limit access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Be informed about how we use your data (this policy).
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased in certain circumstances.
- Restrict or object to our processing in certain circumstances.
- Data portability, where it applies.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
- Object to direct marketing at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
11. Automated decisions and profiling
We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. The advertising platforms we use may carry out profiling to show relevant ads; you can control this through the cookie settings and the platform links in section 5.
12. Children
Our services and website are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect data about children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their own privacy policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
